I had to look up aphasia. Not sure what's going on with him but this seems to happen from strokes, among other things. Haven't heard news from him in a while. Hope he fully recovers.

I have a family member dealing with aphasia due to to a stroke. There are several ways it can affect you depending what part of the brain is damaged. Some have a hard time comprehending the meaning of words both spoken and written. Some can think clearly but can't find the words to verbalize their thoughts. With "global aphasia" you have difficulty with both. Sometimes it gets better sometimes not.
