Rebarreling a WBY MKV, which contour?

We have an older Mark V Fibermark (McMillian stock) in 300 WBY that needs a barrel job. Looking to retain the original stock and caliber.

I’ve been looking at the Mullerworks #3 and #4 along with the Brux #3.

Any suggestions on a barrel contour that will mimic the factory #2 contour barrel that Weatherby uses. They advertise the muzzle dia for the #26 as .600” (I think) at 26”

Here’s some quick stats on the barrels I’m looking at

Mullerworks

#3 .625” @ 24”
#4 .650 @ 26” (may need some minor barrel channel widening)
Brux

#3 .630 @ 24 (I estimate based on diagram)

Most every custom barrel maker can duplicate the exact same factory contour. I believe it’s a $25 fee. You need to call several barrel companies and see about lead time, price, and discuss your project build.

If you’re gonna go with a new barrel, might as well have the action trued and blueprinted.
