Oregon Hunters??

A family member just bought a farm near Mapleton. I am not having much luck
online finding game laws in question.
Is it legal to hunt over a feeder for deer and can you hunt spring bear over bait? Is it over the counter tags for non resident? Landowner tags?

You can'tbait bears.land owner tag depends on how much land. The new regs should be out I haven't picked them up yet.

There is a thread on here from a guy, I think he goes by Whirlwind, who lives in Oregon. I'll try and find it and bump it up. I bet he can answer any question you have.

I have a brother ho just moved to Portland, OR. Just bought a bow, looking into hunting for next season. He is not yet up to speed on regs either.

Unless it’s changed since I moved in 2014 you can bait.Mapelton is a nice area with lots of elk around there

You can bait deer and elk but not bear . Look on odf webd site. Maybe just gogle orgon department of fish and wildlife. I live just out side of portland.
