8 or 12 team playoff is cool. Someone will always feel left out but hopefully you don't get another case of UCF claiming to be national champs....lol.... The real issue will always be the ranking system itself but it's all we got.... just checkout the preseason poll for laughs

I haven’t left the BCS train. In the end their job was to put #1 vs #2 and they did that correctly the majority of the time.

The more teams you add to a playoff, you water down the regular season. And my normal rant, you will never find a perfect system as the number of deserving teams changes each year.
