Cowboy hat while eating...

What do y'all typically do with your hat while eating assuming there's nowhere to hang it? I hate laying it under my chair and it's hard to keep on your knee while eating. I probably only wear one a dozen times a year... only when wearing class A's or when going to weddings, funerals, banquets, ect. What's the norm while eating?

I don't wear a cowboy hat but I do take my ball cap off while eating. I usually lay it in the seat net to me if there's room.

At home....off. Anywhere else where there is not a hat rack close.....leave it on.

In a home I take it off. Restaurant I leave it on.

Never cared as a young man as I get older I find my self leaving it in the truck when I walk into a restaurant in most situations now.

Always off when at the table. When I was in the Navy it was never on when indoors or down below deck. Just a military thang and my Dad said not to as well.

What about a banquet type setting where a small portion is spent eating and the rest socializing? I'm not sweating it and know that it really doesn't matter but I'm also one who cares about being respectful.

I rode bulls 24 years, wore hats all my life if there is no place to put it it stays on, if someone don't like it then don't invite me back. just saying
