The ranch I work at, London Oaks Ranch, had a few MLD tags left, so with the season coming to a close this Sunday, I figured I better try again!!! Got this nice doe this afternoon with my Primal Tech recurve. The shot was true, and she only made it about 60yds.

Well, I was supposed to come home today, so yesterday should have been my last chance to hunt for this season. About lunchtime, my wife calls and says “By the way, I won’t be home tonight till about 7:30 or so!”

I got to thinking, I have 2 choices:

1) Go home and hang around the house by myself till she gets home.

2) Stay and hunt this afternoon!

I chose option 2!

The shot was pretty good too:

Shot her with my Primal Tech recurve.

Now I’m at home, and won’t be back up there till Monday. Season ends on Sunday, so this really is my last one for this season.

Went to Fowler Ranch for a hunt with my dad and my oldest and had a great time. I got a blackbuck with my Sarrels Sawtooth and Mason got his first trad kill on a pig with his Sarrels Foothills.

I had an easy one last night. Took the dog out before bed and heard a pig squeal. Grabbed the thermal and scanned the pasture and found them 60 yards out. Made a quick run to get the wind right and got in to about 15-18 yards. Made a good shot and a 50 yard recovery! The Bob Lee and Day Six setup are a bad duo!

I normally have to chase them around all night to get a shot, these just gave up let me hop the fence and walk right to them! I’ll take that anytime!

Had a group of small&medium ones come through from the west about 7:15 tonight. About 7:20 a sow with piglets was coming from the southeast and this one gave me a clear shot so I let the Martin Mamba I recently bought from Thumper eat. 40 yards later . . . Name: 20210306_205319.jpg

Got the new Bob Lee Shikari picked up, tuned, and got its first kill the other night. Cant say enough about how sweet this bow is. 22 yard shot, hard quartering away with a complete pass thru. 48# bow shooting a 560 grn Day Six arrow/broadhead setup.

First hunt of 2021 for me. Turkeys were not cooperating, so this guy gave up the ghost so I wouldn't get skunked. Fried squirrel in my future.
