Arrow through the Headboard - Yikes

My nephews wife was laying in bed reading when this happened. She was laying flat when she usually sits up to read.

She heard a sound that she thought was a bb or pellet. When she jumped up and looked outside she saw a teenage neighbor looking over the fence for his arrow.

The neighbors are taking responsibility and paying for damages.

Close call and everyone is fine but yikes.

When I was a kid long, long ago, I was watching Wild Kingdom when they set up a demonstration.

They had 5 or 6 sandbags lined up with a pane of glass behind them. They shot a large caliber rifle through the sandbags and the bullet did not pass through. I don't recall the caliber.

Next a guy stepped up with a longbow and the arrow passed through the sandbags and broke the glass.

That's what got me interested in bowhunting.
