A while back I had a guy ask me if I could use a set of his nilgai horns for a knife handle. I told him to send them to me and we will see what we can come up with. Here’s a work in progress.
Here the horns modeled by one of my minions.
I figured the flat spot on each horn would make a good pair of scales for either a mortise fit stick tang or a regular full tang.
Customer went with the full tang option, so I designed the knife to fit the material. ATS 34 steel is what I had in the right dimensions.
