    Check my towing math please

I've got an '07 double cab Tundra 5.7

I occasionally haul my tractor with my bumper pull 16K# rated car hauler tandem trailer.
    The Tractor weighs about 3300#
The empty trailer weighs is about 3K#.
The curb weight of the truck is 5,220#
Toyota lists the towing capacity as 10,600#

15% of the loaded trailer weight on the tongue comes out to just under 1k#

Unless I've forgotten a factor I should be well within the trucks capacity right?

Do I need LT rated tires or can I still use an AT for better off road traction?

You don't have enough information. What's the GVWR and GCWR for your truck? That's where you'll get in trouble with a lighter vehicle. Our old Nissan Armada was rated to tow 9900#, but when you filled it with 4 people, luggage, and fuel, the trailer you could actually haul and stay within specs was way less than 9900 pounds.
