You got the right Marshall - and I didn't know there was another Mott out there. BTW, you guys are named after a great Man. I knew Mr. Adams for many years and thought a lot of him.

I'll tell him. It's on our ranch out towards Florence.

I haven't updated in a while, but we got a good bit done last Saturday - got rained out Sunday, which is a welcome road block. Not really much to show for as far as "going up" this go around, it was all about tying the foundation together. Got lots of bracing done between the floor joists and set a solid row of blocks to set the divider wall from the bedroom to the living area.

Should be going up with the walls on the next time out. For the exterior walls, we are going up similar to a log cabin style. We have a bunch of 3" wide laminated tongue and groove material that was made for a big church. It is made from a 2 x 6 sandwiched by 2 1 x 6 boards. This set-up should make for one really solid wall. I will have more pictures of the wall material come this weekend.

Started going up with the exterior walls. Stopped at this height so that we can start framing for the windows. Also want to set the bracing for the vertical corners to get them plumb.

On the corners, we are nailing in some big spikes. Total cost for the spikes = $1 for a half keg - Pops was pretty proud about that buy.
