    Deer blind build

Iā€™m in the process of building a 4x6 deer blind. I have built the same blind a number of times but can never remember what height to set the windows this is a rifle blind only. Also anyone recommend prefab windows to use?

My blind is 5ā€™ off the ground and I put my windows at 39ā€ from the floor and itā€™s perfect

It is according to how tall you are the height of your chair. Set down in your chair with rifle in hand and have some one measure to your barrel from floor. Everyone is different, mine are 37".

Any plans or pics you can share? Iā€™m in the process of planning out a deer blind build. Whatā€™s the estimated cost?

Do a 6x6. It works out great for siding that comes in 4 foot sheets.

I put my windows at 39 inches

I will post pics later today, I have the box done. I will frame up windows and door this evening. Basically I have a 4X6 treated base, with 3/4" decking. structure is 1/2" plywood and 2X2 framing. When it all ties in together its very strong. I use the elevator bracket and raise it up with 4x4 post. I'm going to use a silicone commercial roof coating for the roof, and seal all the edges.

Has anyone used " the original deer blind window co." windows? I'm looking at the framed swing sash.

Use a router to cut out the window openings, perfect every time.
