Tracking this system, simply by just following this thread, seems to suggest with each update that the storm predictions are taking it farther and farther east... and for my own selfish reasoning, that's a good thing! I don't need any more rain at my house for a while!!

Catastrophic flooding is going to occur in parts of Mexico in and around the Bay of Campeche. Cities like Ciudad del Carmen are getting hammered.

Last I heard the prediction was it would most likely come ashore as a tropical storm - is that still the case?

Still to early for anyone to say for certain, but my gut feeling is a strong tropical storm or minimal hurricane.
