    Cheap and simple planter box

My wife decided she wanted an herb garden. I had some leftover cedar fence pickets, so instead of planting them in the flower bed, I'm thinking a raised garden might be cool. My pickets were 4', so we went with a 2'x4'x1' bottom box, and a 6"x28"x6" top box.Click image for larger version

ID:	25015198 The box. I forgot to take pictures during the build, but you get the idea. I've got about ten bucks and an hours time tied up in the box. The fountain was already there, but with herbs, soil, ornamental plants, and border, my ten dollar project hit somewhere around 200. Oh well. It turned out pretty good and mama loves it.

Looks great. May have to use that design some time. I threw this together this year for the same reason.
