Questions for the experts on the CARES Act.

I have been told that under this act that I qualify for unemployment even though I resigned in writing as are those who are self employed. Is this correct??

And, if factual & filed under my former employer would they be affected in any manner with CARES in place??

Let me rephrase...for you biz owners, do you know if you will be getting chargeback protection from TWC for employees that were terminated?? I'm being told this is the case & why I now qualify with a resignation letter on file.

Bringing CARES Act back to the top. I work for an airline that took a bailout. My understanding is that because of the CARES Act, they can't lay anyone off until October 1, but now they are talking about involuntary RIF's after a third round of early outs... at 25% of the headcount. Something tells me there is some loophole that they could still cut people before the deadline... Anyone lawyers out there know anything different?
