Sales Tax in Texas

Have I been in hibernation? or has the sales tax gone down from 8.25% to 6.25%???

I was trying to calculate some sales taxes and it says online that starting in 2019 it went from 8.25 to 6.25!!!!

I think that is the base tax across the state. Then you throw in the local surtax.

6.25 is state then add your local.
