How old are these? .45 ammo

Got these when my grandfather passed away about 15 years ago and am wondering if any of you gun/ammo gurus know how old they might be? Also, do you think they’re still in good working condition to shoot? All .45, made for model 1911. I inherited an awesome Colt 45 1911 from him that dates back pre-WW1, I’ll try to post pics of that when I get home.

I’ll say they’re all still good.

1962 by the looks of the headstamp. I’d load up a mag... or two or three or four and head to the range.

As stated above 1962 production by Western Cartridge Company (Winchester). It would shoot just fine but may be worth more to someone who collects military surplus. The can alone marked for 45acp are harder to find and worth more than the typical 50 cal can. To someone who looks for that that is.

Looks like 62 to me and good to go. I would put up one full box just because.

I say they are at least 15 years old.

No reason not to shoot them. Fire away.

After researching it appears you guys are correct - 1962, since it’s stamped on the cartridge. I’ll post pics of the old 1911 tomorrow.

Would love to see the 1911, really want a WW1 issued 1911 for my collection some day.

Collector grade ammo. Shoot some and save the rest.
