Why can’t I find this buck?

This is a 5.5 y/o 200lb+ s.Tx buck. I shot him yesterday evening with what I consider a text book shot. Broadhead was razor sharp and I had a complete pass through! Arrow was completely covered in bright red blood. Only found 1 tiny drop of blood at the shot location. Looked for 3 hours, called the dogs, they looked for 3 hours, went back this morning and looked for 2 more hours, absolutely no blood or sign!!! Do you think his fat could have sealed the wound? The weather conditions were horrible all around, been raining for 3 days and was lightly raining when I shot him. I still think there should have been blood everywhere, I’m at a complete loss!! I tried to post the video but Tapatalk isn’t letting me so here’s some screenshots. Thoughts?

No telling, unless the angle was a little wonky??? Sometimes, for unknown reasons, it just don’t work out the way it’s supposed to!

Sorry this happened to you. I’ve been there, and I know how bad it sucks!

Looks like a great shot but like Bisch said, for unknown reasons it happens sometimes.

Sorry to hear that. I lost a buck last year, not hit as good as yours but still should have done the job. It’s sucks but it’s part of it

What kind of broadhead??? I use 2 blade heads and Ive had several shots where the blood trail was waaaaay less that stellar. I think that sometimes the slit in the hide gets misaligned with the slit in the muscle, effectively sealing off the hole that the blood should be coming out of.
