    Wood slab ****

The pictures below depict almost perfect log aging prior to sawing. Heart and sapwood are still hard with minimal punky sections. Spalting and coloration throughout log. This is 8/4 pecan fresh off the mill ready for air drying.

Would make a heck of a good looking rifle stock.

8/4 is a little thin for a stock, I would guess.

                  Looks good.

I had two huge pecan stems for my mill and I got side tracked and they ended up rotting.

Pretty wood. How much for one of the big slabs?

Slabs in the photo won't be available until 2022 and will be priced after drying. Price is dependent on how well they behave during kiln process (splits, cracks, warp, twist, etc.).

                        Nice coloration

Why does it look so glossy?
Wet or does it come out of the mill like that?

We sprayed with mineral spirits making colors pop to take pictures. It helps to show clients what the piece will look like after finishing.

Pecan has always been one of my favorites. He has built a heck of an operation.
