Unless I draw the bighorn hunt, I'm a loser this year. The only positive i can take away is, I have 12+ points in every category.

Any hunt I have ever drawn was with zero points. I think the points are like the "free" drinks at the casino. Gotta keep people playing. And yes, I keep playing.

1/35 this year.( feral hog EPC Richland) I’ve drawn 5 hunts in 2020, 1 in 2021..my theory is holding up so far: you’ll draw something every year if you’re not super picky and are putting in for most categories. Not a dream hunt by any stretch, but a win is a win.

What’s sad or funny depending on how you look at it, between my brother and me, we only apply for about 10 hunts a year. That’s 30 bucks apiece!!!

Texas is also the only state that does not require non residents to purchase a license prior to entering the draws. That also has an effect. I have bought an Alaska license for 8 years without ever hunting, just to put in for the sheep draws.

Almost forgot, we drew Enchanted Rock last year for doe/spike hunt. Reason I forgot, I didn’t get to go.
