looking for a good place to shoot an axis doe

    Hi all,
I'm looking for a reasonably priced day hunt to take an axis doe. I also need it to be a ranch that my girlfriend wouldn't mind staying at for a day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What is reasonably priced? Most ranches are getting $200 and up for an Axis doe....

I'll send you a pm on a place by the YO....

              Call the guide at www.chambersbowhunts.net

They have a bunch of Axis doe right now.

Our axis does are on a kill fee basis for $150 each.

Joe-Joe, We are on the Bug Scuffle Ranch west of San Antonio.

Bryan (T-post) will put you on em. We saw some at Crystal Creek this weekend also (one of Chamber's ranches) but you would have to do a 2 day minimum hunt and it would count as your exotic.

So is it $250 a day (5 person min) for the hunt (includes lodging), with two day minimum plus the $150 kill fee per axis doe which totals $650 or is it $150 per doe total including the lodging?

                          thanks

You can do a hog hunt which is $80 per day,2 day minimum, and hunt an axis doe for an additional $150. Or you can do a $150 per day hunt and an axis doe per day.

That is one heckuva deal right there! Plus you won't find a prettier ranch to hunt and the guides work VERY hard to help you succeed.
