    Traditional FSC Week 4

Trace around dimes with a Sharpie in the 4 corners of a piece of regular copy paper. Number these circles 1 thru 4 starting top left, going clockwise. You will shoot at the corners in the number order from 15 yards (8 for kids) -- any stance.

Challenge will be to shoot a shot as close as you DARE to each corner. Trying to get lowest total distance from nearest part of arrow shaft to circle.

The TWIST is: a shot off of the paper DOUBLES the measured distance!

You can try this up to four times, as long as each effort is with the first four shots of a day. Only really need one good round so you're never OUT!

Let's see if I got this right

    Shot1: 4 3/16 x 2=8 3/8
    Shot2: 4 15/16
    Shot3: 5
    Shot4: 1/2 x 2=1

    Total: 19 5/16

Flier got penalized harshly; great fourth shot, though!

Decided to play it safe for now.
Probably played it a little to safe.

Yeah, I played safe for first two; then third and fourth were close but low just off paper.
Total: 16-11/16". I'll be trying again.

Something about shooting AWAY from an area is hard. Thought it was just me, but apparently not....

On the other hand, the penalty is real: 3" adds up a lot faster than 1-1/2"

Makes no sense. Even on a black pig in low light you pig a shot to shoot at, not away from.

Of course you're correct. Just have to focus on the spot, but the no-go zone acts kind of like a lake by the green: have to ignore it, but it's still there. Now in each case, there's nothing wrong with aiming at a certain part of the spot/green.

Next time, I plan to take dead aim on the inside-center edge of each coin.

Saying today is a windy day would be a drastic understatement.
It's like a hurricane out there.

While fighting the wind to get my paper on the butt,
I put it on back side out.

I didn't notice it was back side out, until after shooting my 4 shots.

I still shot in the correct order of top/left clockwise to bottom/left.

Still playing it a little on the safe side, especially in this wind.

                        First Attempt

Only snapped one picture, the four arrows all are closest to their intended target though.
                        Shot 1: 4 3/8"
                        Shot 2: 3 3/8"
                        Shot 3: 3"
                        Shot 4: 1/2"

                        Total: 11 1/4"

Not measuring these closely, but total is at least 14. Two more chances.
