Adoption Journey

Many of you have been along for the ride, offered advice, encouragement and prayers along the way.

For those don’t know, Tyler was 7 when his mom and I started dating, 9 when we got married. His biological father, though somewhat minimally involved, has never made an effort to be a father. So, it has been Ty’s desire for many years that I adopt him. His biological father being the character he is would never agree to relinquish parental rights.

Well, at 19 Tyler decided as an adult that he wanted me to legally adopt him...tomorrow at 0900, he legally becomes what he has been all along, my SON!

One of the most humbling experiences of my life. Thanks for following along

Speaking as someone who was adopted that’s amazing and it’s the greatest feeling and I will forever count my blessings for the parents the good lord gave me! And now that I’m married I have a stepson who will forever be my little man and I’m sure you’ve always known this but we’re not the step fathers, were the fathers that stepped up!
