My first attempt at capturing humming birds in flight. Had no idea how fast these suckers were. Strait out the camera no edit mild crop. 70-200 2.8

Nicely done.
Take a look at slowing the shutter speed on hummingbirds if stationary. When we see them, the wings are a clearly defined thing. Showing them blurred with an in focus body looks natural. 1/640s
Many times a bird will find a favorite perch and continually come back to it. Try this in that situation, get one in focus and change to manual focus. Tighten the tripod head when focused also. You can sit back and not look through the shutter and when they come to land, start shooting. This method does require a faster shutter speed. This also works for other birds but not like the hummers.
Hummingbirds can get addictive. Have fun with them.
