                They send out thousands at a pop. Rural subdivisions are a popular target. Its usually just a percentage of the CAD value.

                  We get them for mineral rights. They just look on the county records. With the price of oil down they are pestering the heck out of us now.

                    Tell them you accept their offer to buy 18+ square feet of land for $13,500 but they'll have to agree to high fence it.

                      I get them all the time offering cash for about 1/4 of the property value. Guess a few widows fall for it from time to time.

                          I get a lot of those. I did have one offer almost as much as what it is appraised at. I'm not interested, but I imagine they buy a lot of inherited land that way. Course, it may be China trying to by it.
