Nope in the long run my Spartan is cheaper. Im not sure where you are going to put it and only get 250 a month. I get closer to 2000-2500 per month.

I just looked again and you are right. Im not sure what I was looking at last night. Some how I was figuring on it being cheaper with the spartan. I do like that they have higher resolution than the Spartans.

I’ve been trying to price out a new cell camera. Once you start factoring in the data some of the cheap cameras over the life of the camera, they become expensive. Spartan and Moultire were $300 more expensive for data over 5 years compared to others. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Had to cancel my first order. AT&T versions came out later than Verizon and I wasn't willing to wait until mid August.
I re-ordered from Scheel's and they should be here next week. The reviews online so far have been strong. |

I have a few questions about cell cams. I want to put one in a spot that has limited service. Verizon works better down there but is still minimal to none on a cell phone. Is it worth me getting any of the cell cams or would it be a waste of time and money trying to get one of these to work?

![]() Things ramp up once you add multiple cameras. Spartan to my knowledge doesn’t offer any discounts per camera. Cuddeback Link and Snyper are the only cameras I know that let cameras share a data plan. However a $99 camera is easier to stomach than a $600 Reconyx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Just ordered the ATT version on amazon. Will give it a shot. Have been running the cuddelink for a year now and really like them. Up to 24 cameras on an unlimited plan for $180 a year. Only down side is no live view.

I’ve had one for a few days. It’s a Snyper camera rebranded for Tactacam. I think the pics are pretty good day and night. Flash is more old school “brake light” IR. It is very visible if your looking at the camera when it fires. More so than any other cell cam Ive used. Sensing is weak. I was walk testing it last night and it really starts to have trouble triggering outside 30-35 feet. App is easy to use. Pics are slow to get to the app. It’s weird, when you do a manual test picture in setup mode it will hit the app in 20-25 seconds. When in on mode it’ll take anywhere from 5-15 minutes to deliver a picture. Honestly that makes no sense to me. Pictures it sends are low res, but ok. You cannot request the “HD” version. In burst mode 2 to 5 pictures it sends the second picture only. Data plan is $5/month for 250 pics, $8/month for 500 pics, $13/month for unlimited. Additional camera added on unlimited plans is $12/camera so no real benefit like adding cameras with Covert.

I'm looking for one online now. Seems they are out of stock everywhere. I found some on Bowhunting Outlet.com that can be pre-ordered and are due to be available on 7/24 for $108.

![]() ![]() I think it’s probably priced about right. It’s a very “Base level” cell camera. Which will be fine for many users. The questions will be for that price will the components be of a quality that they hold up? When the number of cameras in the woods ramps up, will they have the infrastructure to support it? And when trouble arises, and it does for every cellular camera company, can they provide the support needed. I just put mine out at deer camp yesterday. It doesn’t appear to have any automated mechanism where it checks in every day to let you know its alive and well. There’s no timelapse setting where you could get it to send you a few pictures a day. There is an sms control setting of Daily or Instant. I think when on instant it allows you to instantly make settings changes. It seems like that would be the avenue to request an instant picture but that’s not available. Mine is out on a trail. It hasn’t sent any pics or communicated since yesterday, so I can only assume every thing is ok. I think the picture quality is pretty good for the price. I had it on my driveway for a week. I couldn’t read license plates numbers at 30 feet like I can with other cell cams, but not everybody cares about higher clarity pictures. Hopefully the come out with some more features soon. I have 2 out and 1 more on the way. I do like the home page on the app kind of like a news feed for all your cameras.
Pros: cheap, easiest so far to set up, nice app design. Cons: lacking some features like roscoe described as well as being able to share access to cam etc. most of that is software upgrades that can come down the road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you are talking about the one I posted, I just put a bunch of parts together. The box is from BPS, battery and solar panel are from Academy, then I just got some U-bolts from Home Depot. Put it all on some wood I had in the garage and viola. I did run the external battery cable for the camera down inside the metal cable protector that was on the solar panel. |
