SUCKED! Got rained out with no backup plan...so I twiddled my thumbs living vicariously through TBH. Will be out the next two weekends in the Panhandle and South Texas to make up for a ****ty opener hopefully...

You can bet your *** I will have a backup plan next year.

Mine was very expensive. 8 birds cost me over $1K.

My buddy and I got our limit. Went to sit down and my buddy was like "Hey....There's a rattlesnake heading right to you." Stomped in front of it and scared it back towards my buddy. He said "Hey don't do that stupid.".....Had a pretty fun time.

Had a decent Sunday, shooting 12 in the afternoon only, wedding on Saturday night derailed the morning hunt. Monday was slower but still ended up with 7. Better shooting would have led to more birds. Pflugerville area

Ours wasn't great, but also not terrible. Hunted right outside of Fredericksburg and 7 of us shot 55 with 2 of those 7 basically just drinking in the truck bed and only killing 1 between them.

Slowish near Brady tx. Normally everyone hits a quick limit! only One of us 8 did this year.

Saw many hundreds of birds Saturday evening 1/2 mile from my place... Shot 1 bird all day Sunday.

Limited by 9am, not a ton of birds but made my opportunities count.

6 of us limited out in about an hour at a friends place north of Hondo. Birds are thick again this year. My BIL planted milo and sunflowers this year on his farm south of Hondo and he’s covered in birds. One of the local outfitters has it leased so he should do pretty well come the south zone opener.
