My 10 year old had himself a great opening weekend. He had the privilege of being able to hunt with Pops, our 78 year old lease member and grandfather of our friend who brought us to the lease a few years back. This cull had been hanging out for a while and would wait for the feeder to go off and hang out, by the way, I felt it when we loaded him up! Pops thought it would be a great oppurtunity for lil man to get his tag punched. Sure enough, the target buck showed up within 30 minutes of them getting in the stand. Ethan said they took a break from their many converstations they had in the stand and dropped the hammer on this big bodied buck. The shot was good and they watched him pile up about 45 yds from the shot. They resumed their talks in the stand and waiting for the sun to set and we made our way over to help load him up. My son enjoyed hunting with Pops and said he learned alot from him. This is what hunting is all about in my book!
