Got the privilege to go out to buddies ranch in Sonora this weekend to attempt and harvest my first deer with my bow. Last year nerves got the best of me and I missed my opportunity. This is my third year bow hunting having had really only two real chances to draw blood. This go around I let her fly true and harvested my first deer a spike still in velvet. Was an awesome moment unfortunately the broadhead hit bone after entry and went straight into the spine and paralyzed him I had to put another arrow in him. Only managed to hit one lung with the first broadhead. Felt bad but after everyone else saw where the arrow hit they all said great shot and were confused on how the arrow ended up going straight up after entering the cavity. Glad I got that monkey off my back. No pics were taken of myself and said spike he was 3.5 needed to go. Have a great week!

A 3.5 year old spike is a great bow trophy!
