Arrow spine?

I have read that of your riser is cut past center that you need to shoot a weaker spine arrow.
And I have also read that you need a stiffer spine arrow.
What is the consensus of this group ?

3Rivers has a pretty good arrow spine calculator and info on how to measure "cut past center". Seems to be spot on...for me anyways.
