Fried okra is evidence that God truly does exist!

I like it lightly breaded--in flour only--and fried until brown; crispy but not crunchy, generously salted immediately after coming out of the hot oil. In fact, it's on the meal plan for tonight!

Picked up a big jar of that pickled okra from Atwoods. It was OK, not great.

Restaurant deep fried okra is good but homestyle pan fried is best.

My wife made stewed okra and tomatoes last night with a little bit of onion and garlic and some Cajun spices. I think I really be liking that stuff.

My wife fries it like my mom did, where a dozen or so pieces stick together in the skillet and when done, you can pick up a chunk of it and just eat the hell out of it!

Sliced okra, jalapeƱos, and onions fried in cornmeal make for a great appetizer.

Dipped in a ranch and Tabasco mixture goes great with a cold beer.
