    ram jerky and sausage question

    You guys have good luck making jerky and sausage from exotic rams? The ground meat mixed with bacon is okay and ive smoked some tenderloin but never tried jerky and sausage from one. Thanks

    I make jerky from aoudads all the time. I am waiting on new grinder (arrives tomorrow) and will be trying some sausage in a few days. But to me sausage is more about the seasonings you use, not so much what kind of meat u use. Pretty much any meat (within reason...lol) is fine

      My wife and I killed a couple of rams at Thompson Temples several years ago. Made all of it into link sausage because I figured plenty of seasoning and smoke, can’t go wrong. It was good at first but as time went on it seemed to gain that “ram” smell and flavor.
