How bout another "Where/What" to do around Corpus, thread?

We're taking the grandkids again around 20th of July. Staying 4 nights.
Not sure where we're staying yet.
Might try a house/cabin on/near the beach. Last year was a motel in town.

Planning on a 1/2 day bay fishing trip for me & Ethan. Not sure who with yet.

Wife and Bella will prob chill at the motel pool (if we stay in a motel) or go shopping while we fish.

Planning some touristy junk for the kids, like a pirate ship ride or something or other and a "see the dolphins" boat ride (wife seen both advertised last year).

I'm just hoping to catch a fish outta all this. Trips for the kids.

Scuttle-? and Doc's to eat, I think we're recommended b4.

    What else?

Aquarium, Lexington, hooks baseball, free movies down at Cole park amphitheater, padre island burger company, black diamond oyster bar, Scuttlebutts, macdaddy’s. Better call and check availability for guides, summer keeps the good ones very busy.

Stickman pretty much nailed it. There's also fun trackers if it'd still open.

The aquarium has a great splash pad for the young kids too.

          Thanks.
Looks like we'll pencil in the aquarium.

Might wanna get your fishing trip booked now. I would think most good guides stay booked well in advance.

If someone held a gun to your head and said "find me a seashell", where would you go? These kids want to find those and see the crabs.

And more lodging suggestions, please. <$200 night.

                  Any advice appreciated, again.

                  D.

Take them fishing for free at Indian Point pier….. take them to the beach a lot obviously. Rockport beach is $10 a car and has awesome playgrounds and beaches. Take the kids to the old seashell shop in Rockport… one of the coolest collections of seashells for a cheap prices.

How old are they? Our kids and us had a blast riding the scooters all up and down the seawall in the evening. App on your phone pays for them and you can pick them up anywhere along the wall. They even rode through that downtown area and the Whataburger drive thru when it was time to go back to hotel.

                        Kids are 6 & 8.

Bella will stay in the water ALL DAY.
                        Ethan wants to find shells/rocks/crabs/bugs/snakes/lizards.

Everytime we go hunting he has a pkt full of rocks time we get to the blind, lol.

baseball game is cheap and easy. sit on the home side with the sun at your back and in the upper areas for better breeze.
