    Beginner's challenge: age/score

Alright boys, figured I'd give y'all a layup on a "guess the score/age". Only six measly points, Burnet County, and a tempting subject to let go another year or two to see if he can grow some trash. FWIW having seen a lot of pictures, I think his inside spread is 17" give or take a 1/2". All in all, he's a really cool looking buck in my book and will be hard not to send an arrow at.

    I'm convinced he's either 3 or 4. Thoughts?

This is the second year on camera for this guy and I'm leaning that way as well.

Potential to die lol. Shoot that deer the minute you see him!

            He’s at least 4. Score don’t matter but 100ish.

I killed one real similar a few years ago but was super old. 7-8 we figure. Beat down and old old. Killed him opening day of rifle season if I recall. He went 98” or so but scored as a 4 point. Busted brows.

Any pictures of his front knees? Look for callouses, if present he older than 3 for sure.

Remember he will look a lot different body wise come season. They have not started to bulk up yet. The deer is plenty old. I would shoot him the first chance you get.

Kill him. Probably a 105" deer, but a cool 6.

way too early early in the year for accurate age estimation. But, he is old enough to have more on his head than what he does and no sense keeping him around to use resources that a better deer can use. Good deer to remove.

Older than 3. Post pics from last year if you can.

                          I’d shoot him asap.

I think he is an older deer and one I would take out. Great buck for a kid to shoot if you don’t want to burn a tag.
