Bobcat Taxidermist

I need a good taxidermist for a big bobcat I killed. I live in the Austin area but go to Aspermont area almost every weekend. I want it not to be featured here on the bad mount threads. Any suggestions appreciated.

I had the same fear when I killed a nice bobcat a couple of years ago after seeing some of the awful mounts done on bobcats. After doing some research I took mine to B&S Taxidermy in Eagle Lake, Texas. Took about 9 or 10 months to get it back and the mount was awesome. The cat looks like a real bobcat and not a housecat that just came in from the rain. Bobby, who owns B&S, has done other work for me such as deer and birds and I have always been pleased with the product he puts out.

The guy who just did mine is awesome but probably too far for you. Ronnie Usher with Usher Taxidermy in Splendora has done a couple of whitetails, a blackbuck, an axis, and a bobcat for me and does amazing work for a good price.

I've been using Double Nickel taxidermy recently, and they do some great work. They are not cheap though. They're between San Marcos and New Braunfels.

evelyn at billington ranch taxidermy is amazing with cats and small critters

i took her a ringtailed cat that is phenomenal and i have seen her do a bunch of bobcats that won awards. her place is just up the road from liberty hill on hwy 183

I used TruLife Taxidermy in Grandbury. They did an awesome job on mine.

Now remember . Justtttt because it’s a bobcat does nottttt mean you have to get it mounted. Recipe for disaster if it’s not a pretty one.

Also, ask the taxidermist for photos and examples of cats they have done. Perhaps even customers you can talk to or text directly.

There’s a bobcat thread going around on tbh that’s a heck of a mount! I would be using him if I were to ever get one mounted.

Talk to Tyler at Animal Art in Austin. He did a bobcat for a buddy and I think it came out nice. Im sure he has pics of others he has done.
