I need a photo of a possum either love or preferably dead. Long story short I’m in a conversation with a friend that doesn’t believe that anyone really kills possums. He thinks they fake it the whole time and run off when we leave. I’ve explained that when you blow ones head off with a shotgun he’s dead. Not getting through

Yea they didn’t wake back up when I opened the jaws of the conibear.....

I've killed them but I've seen them take a lot of heat and keep living too. I shot one with a .22lr about 11 times one time. Every time I'd hit it,it would just turn around in circles. The last one I shot fell right over when I shot him with the .17WSM.

The dude on my left shoulder has tempted me to stick/shoot one many times, but the dude on my right shoulder has prevailed every time.... I just don't see any reason to kill them and they're not a problem around the house either...

One night I was sitting in my hot tub drinking beer and my dog pulled this giant possum off the fence as it was trying to cross it. He mauled it pretty badly and it played possum (as you'd expect). Dog would walk to the other side of the pool, possum would reanimate, dog would maul it again. Happened 3-4 times, dog never killed it but that possum dang sure knew he'd been in a fight the next day. I finally put the dog inside because I felt bad.
