I was in a new subdivision full of homes under construction this morning, and there was not a Mexican to be found.

Oh, I can promise they are following & cursing every team involved with them getting eliminated with their entire being...world cups were fun back when I was working in Mex. Plant floors shut down, dozens of TV's brought into every department & the enthusiasm is contagious.

I was there one day when US beat mex & talk about getting the stink eyes from folks I thought who liked me!!

Yep, the World Cup unites fans of whole countries rooting for their own. The US and state of our society could use a little dash of that in times like this

Looks like our opponent for tomorrow has the flu going around & hasn't been practicing the past day or two.

Just turned it on at ranch. In Spanish. :-). Dutchman took a bump to the back, ball touched his chest, and he grabbed his face.

I jinxed them. Never watching the kickball again. In any language. 2-0. That. Could. Be. Game.

Hope I’m wrong.

However, I just got to see a Jeff Davis (abogado) advertisement with him speaking Spanish. That made my morning.

Yikes! Need a big ol rally. And some fresh legs. Zimmer is weak on D and some lazy passes. Keeper looks a bit lost.

Until girls in HS pay attention to the soccer players as well as/instead of the football players the premier athletes in the US will continue to head to football practice. There is a powerful addiction at play here. Having said that, go US!

Best friend from college is from Argentina and a huge fan. I let him know I was all in and hoped it didn't jinx them. Thought they had it in the bag when they went up 2-0.

Argentina is done for I think. To let the lead slip in the least 10 minutes of the game.

Argentina dominated the first half and now seem winded.

They have been solid on penalties though especially the keeper. Wish I could watch.

Yesterday, we watched my son's team go down a goal in regulation, tie it down a man, get to overtime, go a goal down there and tie it to end end up in PKs. They won 4-1 in PKs. These games are hell on the nerves.

If a person is on the fence regarding soccer, this is a fun game to hook them. Lots of action. Some truly skilled players.

I'm not a soccer fan, but I turned it on at the beginning of "overtime?". Been on the edge of my seat for the last 30 min or so. I don't know the rules and I don't understand all of what's happening, but I know a bad *** game when I see one.

It's hard to explain the joy I have for Messi winning this WC...Diego is looking down smiling.

Man, if this doesn't recruit new soccer fans to the game, nothing will...solid entertainment just witnessed.

Messi / GOAT.
