Several years ago I met a group of Aussies at the ASA Classic. They loved to hunt hogs. They said their tactic was to shoot a brumbee, cover it with thick brush for a day or tow to keep the vultures and predators off. Then they would uncover it and set back about 75 - 100 yards down wind (eeww!) or cross wind and wait for the pigs to show up. When they heard the pigs, they would move in for the kill. Sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to do it! I know I've seen wild hogs move in on a dead cow for a week.
