    Kansas Unit 11 Live Hunt

After a 12 hour drive and a sleepless night, I have arrived at the Hunting grounds. Light NW wind, 43* and partly cloudy. A little rain overnight should have the bucks refreshing scrapes and on their feet.
About to gather my gear and make the 15 min walk in. Starting in a natural ground blind over looking some hand corn and 5 trails.
    More to come after sunrise.

    Let's do this...

Only one so far back in the timber. Couldn't make out what it was. Wind has died and and the sun is peeking over the tree tops

Son just left Kerrville, driving up solo, headed to Unit 14. My buddy and I are leaving Tuesday morning and will meet him. We were there from Oct 31st and returned home on Nov 6th. Very little big buck movement that week, mostly at night. They finally had a hard freeze so most of the leaves should be gone and visibility should be better to lay eyes on movement. I have never gone up this late before, so we shall see.

Gonna sit till 9, then scout and put up another stand. Looking at a Ridgeline and creek bottom
Wind has shifted a little here and it is not a good wind for this set up. West wind blows right into the clearing.
Not sure yet about the evening hunt, will know more later
                        More to come

Good luck! We are headed back home after being up there for a week they were on their feet moving pretty good for a few days. Weather sucked for the most part except for the last couple days.
