Thank you everyone, and I gave the cape to the ranch. Not sure anyone would want to put that cape on a Texas deer. He looked 120 in the field and scored 143.

It will definitely save on the feed bill. I picked up the skull mount today and told the taxidermist about the neck size. The man measuring the neck wasn’t directly behind the head, but he wasn’t very far down. He knows a lot about deer and mentioned that 26 to 27 was huge. Thank God I had friends in camp bc this deer will make you buy a winch.
