A group of us used to meet up for lunch back in the day when he still lived in Elmendorf. He used to let us crash in his place in Rockport before he bought his place in Riviera. Even after starting his guide business, he took us fishing and duck hunting a couple times—we just chipped in for gas. Ironic that his heart did him in, as he had a big, generous one.
