GBRA to drain remainder of lakes

Since the loss of Lake Dunlap earlier in the year, people who lived along the rest of the hydroelectric lakes along the Guadalupe River have held their breath. On Thursday

This is sad. Hopeful they will be back one day

Wow! That's a lot of fish that will be lost.

So they are going to replace the dams?

Seriously, did it mention a plan to replace the dams or is it permanent?

That sucks royally. Seems like the last thing Central Texas needs right now is fewer reservoirs/lakes.

GBRA said that was the plan since the Dunlap incident. I remember folks on here saying all those millionaires that live on those lakes would have them fixed in no time. Guess they was wrong.
Lots of de valuation of property coming, the counties will make it up somehow.

Just goes from being a lake house to a river house and in a market like this they won't loose too much money.

Houses on rivers are worth just as much as houses on lakes.

GBRA doesn't have the money to replace the dams. Lake Wood dam failed three years ago and it has yet to be addressed.

Get the nets out and start scoping up fish.

Except when you have a boat lift with a ski boat on what used to be the lake in your backyard and now it's a mud flat from the boat lift to the river's edge.
