Prime Bows Question

I have never used a Prime bow. My friend has offered to give me his bow now that he is upgrading, however his draw length is 3" longer. He said he thinks that with Prime bows, you can't adjust the draw length without buying new cams. Is this correct? And would I even be able to find replacement cams for a 3 year old bow?
