    Congrats on the brown, man!
My daughter and I are going to try your spot again this fall. Hopefully the bears will cooperate.

Cool thread! I remember another TBHer who is living there. He is, or was, in the Airforce. Think his handle is the_bomb66. His name is Tim. He's taken a few TBHers on bear hunts. I remember DeadeyeDeb going on one of them for blackbear. But a few browns showed up. One having eye contact with her while she was hunting from the ground. Only woman I know that has stared down a brown bear.

      RIP Deb! You're not forgotten.

          Fishing was slow tonight.

Once June hit the bears went crazy, multiple good bears on each bait, it’s around this time when David started sitting on one of my baits. The sits are long about 8-12 hours depending on the bait, then an hour boat ride in and out and about 45 min truck ride to the launch. The days are long the bugs are worse.

On the second sit we had a pair of brownies come in, the second one was a boar that was a regular on the camera (the last trail camera pic). He came in to 20 yards put his front feet up on a blow down, and I let him have it with the 375 ruger. Nocked him over, racked the bolt and gave him a second round. Then all was quiet, other then some shaking going on.

Wow that is impressive. Is bear any good to eat or is it an acquired taste? on a scale from Aoudad to Oryx
