$34/foot top rail with no climb!

I had a quote for some 5' top rail fence with no climb come in at $34 per foot? Anybody else have one lately? That number is astronomical.

Depends on what they are doing, removing old fence clearing brush away ect. Cut and dry top rail with no climb would be $15-25 a ft installed

There's no clearing involved, its a straight shot, about 500 feet.

Should be 15-25 a ft depending on what if it gets painted and if they use drill stem vs new pipe

          I’m 28$ with new structural pipe ‘
          Painted too.
No rusted drill stem, will only cause problems in future.
A lot of guys are busy, so they raise the price until people leave them alone.
Glen Rose could have a rock charge, I charge additional for rocky ground.
I can’t justify $34 but materials are stupidly high right now, and it’s only costing the property owner more and more every month.
I would check around for sure. Just make sure and get someone that knows what they are doing.
Seen a lot of ugly top rails lol.

You won't buy I promise you some will and he'll make money. That's the craziest part about this whole covid/post covid situation. So much affecting even getting a decent contractor out to do a job that people are paying stupid money just to get the work done.
That's fixin ta change as the economy implodes.

Good luck finding someone that will do what they say when they say they are going to do it no matter what you pay it seems like.

Fence costs more than the property lol.

Wish I'd had your number before we decided to remodel a bathroom instead of building a fence
