    Truck a/c question

Got in the truck to run errands. Turned on ac. Drivers side blowing nice and cold, vents on passenger side, both front and rear, blowing heat. What might be the cause?

^^^^ This. Search Blend door actuators for your vehicle. Some are really easy, some are not. Not expensive.

Just a fyi it’s a common event even after warranty it will need to be reset. Have them show you how to do it. It make for a long drive if you are out of town.

Thanks. Only 12,600 miles on the truck. We will see how they handle the problem and if they’ll advise me on what you said.

There is a Ford TSB for that issue I believe.

Blender doors. Mine did it too. Cheap part but labor intensive.

$30 part made of plastic but have to take the whole dash and center console out to change. I was quoted 1200 to fix the drivers side blender door.

I think I would try this first, may be a simple solution although I'd never heard of resetting the blend door settings. Worth a try though.

Could be refrigerant or blend door.
