They are generally considered trash fish. At least in the United States. Most people use them for bait. Bloody!!!

I had to double check what I was looking at. Those suckers will cover the bottom of a boat floor with blood. I don’t know of a more bloody fish.

Cut and brine the bellies on those and you have some quality baits. They are fun to catch on light tackle. I may take the wife out in the morning and catch some kings and Bonita or try to anyway

The bonita or bonito, not sure which is the proper spelling on the east coast are table worthy. The ones we have in the gulf, which is false albacore, little tuny or bonita as most call them is pretty much cut bait or cat food.

Week before broke up all the weed lines.

There out there on the rigs right now. My son caught this one three weeks ago out of Port A.

Biggest he had ever caught.

That boy on the right, nephew, is going to be a great guide in the near future. I swear he has scales, the best fisherman I have seen and great personality to make a great captain. He took us out recently and I caught my first really nice king, my biggest red to date, and giant jack’s. Not to mention reds and trout the next day in the bay. Memories.
