Actually this is another example of police training failure. He must have missed the class in the academy where they teach you how to reason with a guy charging you with a hatchet from 10 feet away

Good shoot for sure letting the air out of the bad guy. Definitely suicide by cop IMO. I mean...if the perp really was intent on doing the LEO in why not use the car?
