Since all this mess started a year or so ago, when I see an officer at a traffic stop and there’s more than one occupant I make a u-turn and park on the opposite side at a safe distance in front of him and observe just to make sure he leaves there safe.
A couple have asked what my motive was and I say...” making sure you go home safe.”
They all have appreciated it.
