I do find it funny that people are claiming him to be a Nancy boy while he’s out there hunting and promoting hunting. Meanwhile the musicians a lot here would claim to be “real” or “old school” country are promoting socialist candidates, preaching about taking your guns away and trying to start an emo Rock career.

I used to live in the country and by that I mean not living just in just a small town but out in the country. There are a lot of people that I used to know that lived in the country or even small towns that I didn't perceive to be country at all and there were some that liked classic rock way more than country music but lived a true country lifestyle including the western wear with boots and hats etc.
To me being country is more about a mind set as well as where you like to spend your free time and economic factors of where I need to live doesn't determine if I am country.
