Looks great for sure. What a feat to concur! I would suggest mounting it on the wall though instead

What an awesome trophy, a legit Texas elk!

Having had the pleasure to leave tracks on the Leoncitas Ranch, I can imagine what that dude must mean to you. Beautiful place.

The Leoncita is truly one of those remote special places. 100k acres of everything from flat desert to high mountain country. You can ride forever out there! Aoudad everywhere and a tremendous amount of mule deer. Hunter with Desert Safaris has a jam up operation.

To be fair, it only took about a year but the taxi was in Michigan. Itís a long story but, in short, I used the guideís taxidermist because we didnít really have a way to transport it home that didnít involve splitting the horns. Then, when the quarantine hit, the taxidermist transport company shut down. It then took another 5 months to get transportation arranged and get him down here.

It turned out well, but a number of choices heavily influenced by bourbon kind of stretched out the timeline.

It was pure magic to me. We walked to the top, and saw some jaw dropping country. Hunterís outfit is absolutely second to none.

The OPís taxi was our guide, and heís the real deal at both jobs.
